LAINEY RICHARDSON

Lainey is currently a student at Belmont University, majoring in songwriting.  Lainey is a multi-genre musician who writes and performs independently, but she is also an exemplary collaborative musician and enjoys working with others.

Lainey's love of music began at the age of four when she saw Chris Stapleton and the Steeldrivers perform at a bluegrass festival.  As a young girl, she began her study of the guitar and creative writing, including songwriting.  Throughout Lainey's years in school, she received local and state awards for writing, she served as her high school's stage musician and songwriter for several award-winning stage productions, and she worked at the legendary Pete's Music City to gain experience with guitar maintenance and in teaching guitar.

In 2018, Lainey began performing professionally in a popular North Georgia Americana-style duo, and for the last six years, she has gained valuable experience on the stages of theaters, festivals, and large as well as intimate music venues, playing original songs as well as classic blues, bluegrass, and rock covers.  She continues to write and perform in this duo.  Lainey also performs independently in venues and songwriting rounds, and she has recently formed an indie-rock trio of female singer/songwriters to perform in the areas of Nashville and Georgia.  Lainey also works in studio to record demos and serve as a studio musician.
